Manipur, Mizoram, HP & Uttarakhand Get Rural Infra Boost Under PMGSY-III

The Ministry of Rural Development has approved new infrastructure projects under PMGSY-III to improve rural connectivity and economic growth in Manipur, Mizoram, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
Manipur will receive 41 roads covering 280.97 km, with an investment of ₹225.15 crore, adding to the 56 roads (502.24 km) already sanctioned under PMGSY-III.
Mizoram has been allotted seven long-span bridges (373.46 meters) at ₹67.69 crore, complementing the 17 roads (487.50 km) previously approved under the scheme.
Himachal Pradesh will get 21 long-span bridges (970.77 meters) at ₹140.90 crore, in addition to 299 roads (3,123.12 km) and 43 bridges sanctioned earlier.
Uttarakhand has been allocated nine long-span bridges (246 meters) with an investment of ₹40.77 crore, adding to the 212 roads (2,287.95 km) and nine bridges approved previously.
The initiative will enhance connectivity, improve access to essential services, boost trade and commerce, create jobs, and support local economies. These projects align with the government's Viksit Bharat vision, ensuring inclusive development and long-term progress in rural areas.
