The Maharashtra government's Water Resources Department (WRD) signed three memoranda of understanding (MoUs) on August 12, 2024, to develop pump storage hydro power projects with a total capacity of 5,630 MW. These projects are expected to attract an estimated investment of ₹24,631 crore and create approximately 10,300 jobs.
