Maharashtra Govt Approves ₹3,040 Cr for Vadhvan Port Development

The Maharashtra government has sanctioned ₹3,040 crore for the Maharashtra Maritime Board (MMB) to support the Vadhvan port development project. This accounts for 26% of the total project cost, with the remaining 74%—₹76,220 crore—being funded by the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA). Planned as a satellite port of JNPA, Vadhvan port in Palghar district's Dahanu taluka will be the largest port in India once completed.
