L&T wins ₹5,102 cr construction & infra contracts

The multiple wings of the construction and engineering giant, Larsen and Toubro have recently secured contracts worth ₹5,102 crore. In the first case, the Transportation Infrastructure wing of L&T Construction has bagged a contact of ₹1,425 crore. The scope of work in the first contract included the construction of eight lanes Vadodara - Kim Expressway, package I (part of Vadodara Mumbai Expressway) in the state of Gujarat, said an official spokesperson, adding that the project is to be completed in stringent timeline and involves the construction of 23 km of eight lanes rigid pavement carriageway, 1.6 km of connecting road, 6 flyovers, 2 interchanges, 2 rail over bridges, 3 major bridges, 8 minor bridges and 18 vehicular, pedestrian and cattle underpasses. Apart from this, its construction arm also won orders of ₹2112 crore and buildings & factories business bagged ₹1,565 crore contracts. An order has also been secured from AAI for the Modernization of Chennai Airport, Phase-II, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Another order has been received from a leading developer for the construction of Multi Level Car Parking with an integrated commercial mall at the same airport and its Power Transmission & Distribution segment secured orders worth ₹547 crore, he added.
