L&T wins ₹2,500-cr construction contracts

Larsen and Toubro has recently won orders to the tune of ₹2,500 crore across segments including an order to design and build a turnkey project from energy generating company. The contract comprised the construction of transit storage yard, material receiving and dispatch center facility at Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. Its power transmission and distribution segment also secured a major contract in Jharkhand. These apart, it also bagged a contract from Tirupati Smart City Corporation to be the master system integrator to implement pan-city information and communication technology solutions and design and construct a city operations centre for the city of Tirupati. It also forayed into a new business line of e-shiksha by bagging a project for the supply, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of hi-tech labs for government high schools and higher secondary schools in Tamil Nadu and also received an add-on order from the home department of the government of Maharashtra for the expansion of CCTV based Mumbai city surveillance system.
