The construction and engineering giant, Larsen and Toubro, has recently initiated the construction work on a mega bridge project in Goa, Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC), said in a statement. He further added that the bridge over Rua de Ourem directly connecting Mala to the Patto complex and the move will bring relief to the residents of Mala and Patto apart from reducing traffic congestion and also create a parallel entry route for the commuters as the project contractor has already laid the foundation stone, Managing Director (GSIDC), Sanjit Rodrigues, said. The construction work is currently in the early stages as the pilling work for the bridge has already started. The design of the bridge will include a special arch in between and will also have special slots for sewage line, electrical cables and wires, water pipelines, and allied works.
