L&T secures multiple contracts across segments

The construction arm of L&T has secured contracts from clients across various Indian states. Its Water and Effluent Treatment segment has secured an EPC order from the West Bengal Public Health Engineering Department, funded by Asian Development Bank (ADB) for construction of an Intermediate Pumping Station, Secondary Transmission Mains, Overhead Tanks, Water Distribution Network & Metering works, besides two years of Operation & Maintenance in the Nandigram-I and Nandigram-II blocks of East Medinipur, West Bengal. The scope of work includes Design & Construction of two ground level storage reservoir cum Intermediate Booster Pumping Station of a total capacity 6,800 KL, 29 RCC Over Head Reservoirs of aggregate capacity 22,950 KL, Supply & Laying of Transmission & Distribution pipelines of total 1,835 km length, associated Electromechanical & Instrumentation works, and 90,000 House Service Connections with Operation & Maintenance for two years. Apart from this, the construction arm has also secured multiple add-on orders for some of its existing projects across the Heavy Civil infrastructure and Metallurgy and Material Handling (MMH) businesses.
