Larsen and Toubro (L&T) has secured a contract from CIDCO for building 23,432 housing units at various locations in Navi Mumbai. The contract has been bagged by the 'Buildings & Factories' business of L&T Construction and ranges between ₹5,000 to ₹7,000 crore whereby the building configurations vary from 13 to 20 storeys. The contract, as a part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), envisages construction of economically weaker section (EWS) and Low-Income Group (LIG) dwelling units.
