L&T Emerges as Lowest Bidder for GIS Substation Project in West Bengal

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for the construction of a 220/132/33 kV GIS substation at Nandanpur in Bankura district, along with associated transmission works in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal. The contract has been issued by the West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (WBSETCL).

The scope of work includes construction of the GIS substation, bay extension, and related transmission infrastructure. It also covers detailed substation layout preparation, engineering, supply, and delivery of all substation structures—including GIS and associated outdoor equipment. The contract further involves civil works such as the construction of foundations, GIS and control buildings, utility facilities, and staff quarters, as per the specifications outlined in the bid document.
