Korea clears Rs. 4,100-cr for V'patnam metro rail project
The Korea Exim Bank has approved Rs 4,100 crore loan for the Visakhapatnam Metro Rail project. A team of officials from the Bank recently called on Chief Secretary A.C. Punetha, Andhra Pradesh, to deliberate on the issue and cleared the state government’s proposal after securing the Central government’s nod on this score. After putting in place all the mandatory approvals, the Chief Secretary urged the delegation to ensure that the funds be made available as quickly as possible to enable the state and project executing agencies to complete the mega metro project within the stipulated timeline.
