The Transport Ministry has in a recent move cleared road projects with a length of 1,428-km whereby most of the road projects involved laying new road lengths and upgrading the existing ones. On this score, the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways has accorded In Principle 'approval for declaration of new National Highways' for a length in the State of Jharkhand and the NHs may be notified subject to outcome of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) of such stretches. The existing National Highways in the State of Jharkhand are being maintained in traffic worthy conditions, Minister of State for Road Transport & Highways, Shri Pon Radhakrishnan said in an official statement.
