Ircon invites bids for ₹162-cr rail infra project

Ircon International has invited bids for a new BG electrified rail line in Chhattisgarh involving an investment of ₹162.99 crore. The project in question commands scope of work including earthwork and blanketing work for railway formation, minor bridges, major bridges, ROBs, track linking works (including the supply of sleepers and ballast but excluding supply of rails) for the feeder lines. The lines connect Chhal siding (0-8.45 km), Baroud siding (0-4.45 km) and Durapur siding (0-6.85 km) in connection with the construction of new BG electrified railway line of East Corridor-I between Kharsia (0 km) to Dharamjaygarh (74.0 km) with a spur from Gharghoda to Gare Pelma over South East Central Railway.
