Tamil Nadu CM has informed that a Tidel Park spreading across five acres areas would be set up in Madurai at an investment of ₹600 crores. The new Park would not just provide the requisite infrastructure for information technology and FinTech players, but also boost industrial growth in Madurai with huge job generation avenues for locals. Over a period, the state government has also planned to set up Tidel Neo (mini-IT Park) in Coimbatore, Ooty, Vellore, Tirupur, Villupuram, Tuticorin, Salem and Thanjavur to extend the IT growth to Tier II cities in Tamil Nadu. Madurai City Corporation and Tidel would form a special purpose vehicle to set up this pioneering IT Park at Mattuthavani areas of the city in a phased manner.
