L&T Inaugurates India’s Largest Skill Training Institute in Vadnagar

Larsen & Toubro Limited has inaugurated India’s largest skill training institute in Vadnagar, aimed at developing skilled manpower for the construction and infrastructure sectors.

Established in collaboration with the Government of Gujarat, the Industrial Construction Skills Training Institute (ICSTI) has been developed on a 9.3-acre campus with industry-oriented practical training facilities.

The institute offers more than 20 trades across construction, manufacturing and smart infrastructure sectors, making it the largest multi-trade skill development centre operated by L&T in the country. Two pilot batches comprising 201 students have already graduated, with many deployed on major infrastructure projects including the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Bullet Train, Ahmedabad Metro and refinery and solar power projects.

The institute has been developed to provide hands-on industrial training aligned with global construction skill standards and support employment generation in India’s infrastructure sector.
