France fires €100-mn into Indian urban infrastructure

France has made a significant announcement worth €100 million loan to strengthen urban infrastructure within India’s Smart City Mission, under the collaborative ties between the European Union and India. This financial support, a testament to international cooperation, is the result of an agreement between the French Development Agency (FDA) and the Central government. The driving force behind this partnership is to bolster India’s innovative flagship Smart Cities Mission This program focuses on several key areas including sustainable mobility, public open spaces, urban e-governance, information and communication technology (ICT), and social and organizational innovation within low-income settlements.
