India Sees Growth in Power Generation, Reduces Coal Imports

Despite surging power demand, coal import for blending decreased by 36.69%, showcasing India's commitment to self-reliance in coal production. Coal remains the predominant source of power generation, contributing over 70% to the total, and efforts to augment coal production aim to enhance availability and reduce dependence on imported coal, thereby safeguarding foreign reserves and bolstering energy security.
