India, Denmark Renew Clean Energy Partnership

India and Denmark have renewed their energy partnership by signing an updated Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in clean energy. The agreement builds on five years of successful cooperation since the original MoU was signed in June 2020 and ensures continued momentum ahead of its earlier expiry in 2025.
The renewed MoU supports India’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2070 and expands cooperation to include advanced areas such as power system modeling, integration of renewable energy, cross-border electricity trading, and EV charging infrastructure. It also promotes greater knowledge exchange through joint training, expert dialogues, and study tours.
Speaking at the signing, Shri Manohar Lal, Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs, said the renewed cooperation reflects both countries' shared commitment to sustainable development. The agreement was signed by Shri Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary, Ministry of Power, and H.E. Rasmus Abildgaard Kristensen, Ambassador of Denmark to India.
