IFMR–Krea University Hosts High-Level Dialogue on Ethical and Responsible AI Ahead of India AI Summit 2026

Discussions focused on an impact-first and inclusive approach to artificial intelligence, with emphasis on democratising access to AI capabilities, data and infrastructure, strengthening evidence and data quality, and embedding ethics and accountability by design. Speakers highlighted the need to build interdisciplinary talent and research ecosystems for AI for public good, while ensuring that Global South perspectives remain central to global AI discourse.
The event also marked the launch of a compendium featuring insights from IFMR and Krea University’s research, policy and practice ecosystem on AI and digital technologies for inclusive development. Participants underscored that responsible AI will be critical to achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047, particularly through high-impact applications in healthcare, agriculture, education, governance and livelihoods, while remaining grounded in human values, ethical reasoning and long-term institutional learning.
