Hyderabad-Amaravati Expressway Gets Green Signal

The long-awaited Hyderabad-Amaravati greenfield expressway has finally received approval, ending an 11-year wait since the bifurcation of undivided Andhra Pradesh. The project will provide a crucial link between the capital cities of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, boosting connectivity and economic growth.
The Ministry of Home Affairs, the nodal agency for resolving bifurcation-related issues, has instructed the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the expressway. This marks a significant step toward its implementation, addressing a long-pending demand for better road infrastructure between the two states.
