HVPNL Upgrades 6 Substations in Gurugram, Manesar to Meet Power Demand

Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam (HVPNL) has begun upgrading six critical substations in Gurugram and Manesar to reduce recurring power outages and cater to the region’s growing electricity demand.

The substations being upgraded include the 400 kV Daulatabad substation, 66 kV units in Sectors 35, 47, and Badshahpur in Gurugram, and the 66 kV and 220 kV substations in Sector 2 and the Transport Hub at IMT Manesar. At Daulatabad, a third 31.5 MVA transformer has been installed to ease the load on connected substations through the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN).
