HMRTC Plans Two New Metro Corridors for Gurgaon

Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC) has initiated the development of two new metro corridors to improve connectivity between old and new Gurgaon. Tenders have been invited for the preparation of detailed project reports (DPR) for both lines.
The first corridor, spanning 17 km from Bhondsi to Gurgaon Railway Station, aims to ease congestion on Sohna Road and NH-8. It will pass through key junctions like Vatika Chowk, Subhash Chowk, Rajiv Chowk, Sohna Chowk, Sector 4-7 Chowk, and Railway Road. The line will intersect with the Millennium City Centre-Cyber City metro at Subhash Chowk and Sector 5 stations, and provide an interchange with the upcoming rapid rail corridor at Rajiv Chowk.
The second corridor, 13.6 km long, will connect Golf Course Extension Road to Sector 5, linking corporate hubs with residential areas in Old Gurgaon. It will cover prominent locations such as Hong Kong Market in Sector 57, Ardee City, Millennium City Centre, Signature Tower, Maharana Pratap Chowk, Atul Kataria Chowk, and Sheetla Mata Road.
