Highway Project in Alwar to Build 23 Animal Underpasses

Highway Project

A new 86-km, six-lane highway between Paniyala Mod (Kotputli) and Barodamev (Alwar) will have 23 animal underpasses to ensure safe passage for leopards, tigers, and other wildlife.

Planned by NHAI at a cost of ₹1,600 crore, the project will improve connectivity from Rajasthan to Chandigarh and link directly to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. Construction began in March 2024, with completion targeted for 2026.
