Haryana Govt Approves ₹141 Cr Infra Projects for Gurugram

The Haryana government has cleared infrastructure projects worth ₹141 crore for Gurugram, including the much-delayed Phase 2 of the city-wide CCTV surveillance and adaptive traffic management system.
Approved by the High-Powered Purchase Committee (HPPC) chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the ₹109 crore surveillance upgrade will see the installation of 2,722 cameras at 258 new locations. This comes nearly three years after Phase 1 was completed with 1,200 cameras at 218 sites. The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) is set to begin work after issuing work orders.
Two other projects were also sanctioned. A ₹17.3 crore 66 kV substation will be set up at the Chandu Budhera Water Treatment Plant to power three filtration units, with interim power arrangements in place during its 12-month construction period. Additionally, ₹14.7 crore has been allocated for a four-kilometre cycle track and footpath along Sectors 58–61 and 59–61 near Golf Course Extension Road, with a nine-month completion target.
