Gurugram Metro Finalises Rs 450 Cr Spur to Connect Sector-5 with Railway Station

Gurugram-Metro
The proposal to construct a 1.8-km Metro spur linking Sector-5 to Gurugram Railway Station has been finalised and will soon be reviewed by the Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL). Following GMRL’s review, the plan will be forwarded to the Haryana government and the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs for final approval.

Estimated to cost Rs 450 crore, according to RITES, the Metro spur will replace the earlier plan for a skywalk connection between Sector-5 and the railway station. The extension is expected to enhance ridership and last-mile connectivity, offering better access for commuters using the Gurugram Railway Station for intra-city travel.
