low-cost housing units
Delhi-based real estate player Signature Global has launched two affordable housing projects in Gurugram under the Haryana government's scheme. Construction work on the two new projects 'Aspire' and 'Prime', housing about 1,450 units and entailing an investment of ₹200 crore each has started. The flats will be in the price range of ₹22-26 lakh. The company has also launched three projects under Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojna at Karnal and Sohna and is developing a shopping mall in Ghaziabad. The Centre has reduced GST on affordable housing to 1 percent only and is providing an additional deduction of 1.5 lakh on interest paid on home loans under Income Tax law for flats priced up to ₹45 lakh, which has created a win-win situation for both builders and home buyers.
