Gujarat awards ₹2,800-cr contracts in Dholera

For the infrastructure projects valued at ₹3,000 crore coming up at Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR) in Gujarat, contracts worth ₹2,800 crore have already been awarded. The Gujarat government will offer projects in the SIR during the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Summit from January 18-20, 2019, informed managing director of Dholera Industrial City Development (DICDL), Jaiprakash Shivhare. The projects will be on offer in the Activation Area, spread over 22 sqm space. Projects for wastewater treatment, water drainage, sewage treatment will be a part of the basic infrastructure that will be ready by September 2019. People wanting to take up a project will be allocated land within two days. No land will be acquired for SIR; instead the route of Town Planning (TP) schemes will be taken, wherein a part of land from local farmers will be kept reserved for development projects and public amenities. Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) has also floated tenders for a 5,000 MW Solar Park for which about 10 companies have already responded.
