Godrej Material Handling enters equipment rental biz
In order to provide end-to-end service at a fixed rental rate, Godrej Material Handling has forayed into the equipment rental business to provide integrated services for machines, operators, fuel and maintenance at a fixed monthly rent to its customers under a new brand called Godrej RenTRUST. Executive vice president and business head Anil Lingayat said that digital infrastructure has been built to provide on-time data from remote locations to the customer command centre. A first for the industry, the digital monitoring system enables customers to view the equipment deployed at their facilities, submit and review logged requests and more. Its IoT-enabled fleet management system will allow customers to track equipment status, fleet productivity, and fleet utilization in real time. The company, India's largest manufacturer and exporter of forklift trucks and solutions, envisages a huge potential for this business model from medium and small enterprises and from logistics players preferring to be asset light. The company is planning to target customers from the warehousing, retail, e-commerce, airport and manufacturing industries. The service under RenTRUST has been made available in 21 states. Godrej RenTRUST is the only material handling equipment rental solutions company in India with the widest product range, accessories and value-added services.
