In its recently held meeting, Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) under the chairmanship of Haryana Chief Minister, has secured nod for six major projects including the construction of four-lane flyovers with the provision of metro rail and four-lane underpass with a footpath and also the construction of a new medical college. The projects are largely located in areas like Atul Kataria Chowk (Old Delhi Road) and the construction of a six-lane road from Umang Bharadwaj Chowk to Dwarka Expressway. Other projects, which secured clearance included the building of transport infrastructure, construction of the required infrastructure for bus depots, establishment of a multi-specialty of hospital in Sector-67, among others. The agency will also monitor the implementation of the Annual Plan of Action for infrastructure development, Mobility Management plan and the move for sustainable management of the urban environment and make such recommendations.
