Girders Collapse at Alappuzha Bypass Flyover Under Construction

Four girders of a flyover under construction on the beach side of the Alappuzha Bypass in Kerala have collapsed. The area has two flyovers, one of which is operational, while construction is ongoing on the other. Authorities have announced a detailed inspection following concerns over structural weaknesses.
