The Telangana government has given administrative approval of ₹523 crore to Greater Hyderabad Municipal Committee for construction of flyover from Nalgonda crossroads till Owaisi Junction. The project will be taken up as part of Strategic Road Development Program and the government permitted the municipal corporation to take up the project under EPC mode. GHMC has proposed to construct the elevated corridor from Nalgonda crossroads to Owaisi Junction via Saidabad and S Sadan to ensure free flow of traffic on the stretch. The standing committee of GHMC had also approved the construction of flyover during its meeting in January early this year. The municipal corporation had roped in STUP Consultants Private Limited to conduct a study and submit a report on the estimates for foundation, ramps, service roads, pavement works, drainage works, land acquisition, utilities shifting etc.
