GDA clears Rs.250 cr new elevated corridor

The Ghaziabad Development Authority has fast tracked the construction work on the second elevated road between Ghanta Ghar and Bhatia More as the state CPWD recently submitted the feasibility report for the 2.3 km long elevated road stretch entailing an investment of Rs.250 crore. GDA sources said the department has been working on the second elevated road project for some time. After going through the feasibility report and design, it has been decided that the elevated road will be taken up first because of the immediate need to decongest the stretch, Superintendenting Chief Engineer, SS Verma, said, adding that given the fact that there are two important projects like the Rajnagar Extension flyover and the Vasundhara flyover where work has already started by the UP State Bridge Corporation.
