Gadkari Allocates ₹699Cr for Upgrading National Highway-58 in Gujarat

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, has announced the sanction of ₹699.19 crore for upgrading the Khokhra Gujarat Border – Vijayanagar – Antarsuba – Mathasur Road section of National Highway 58 in Palanpur district of Gujarat. The project, under the Hybrid Annuity Mode, aims to convert the existing road into a 2-lane with paved shoulder (PS). National Highway-58 connects Gujarat and Rajasthan, passing through Ambaji Temple, Udaipur, Polo Forest, and other archaeological monuments and tourist places. The upgrade involves realignment in 14 stretches through hilly terrain, intending to improve connectivity and boost economic activities in the region.
