Road-project
The Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC) has approved three major infrastructure projects for South Delhi — the Modi Mill Flyover, Savitri Cinema Flyover and the MB Road Storm Water Drain — marking a significant step toward easing congestion and improving road capacity in the region. Together, the projects will be executed by the Public Works Department (PWD) with a total investment of over Rs 759 crore.

The upgraded corridor from the Modi Mill Flyover to the IIT Gate intersection will feature three lanes in each direction, ensuring smoother, signal-free movement for thousands of commuters. The plan includes building a new two-way Modi Mill Flyover at the Outer Ring Road–Captain Gaur Marg intersection, doubling the existing Savitri Cinema Flyover, and enhancing capacity along the Outer Ring Road stretch.

The total approved cost is Rs 371.75 crore, including Rs 312.84 crore for the Modi Mill Flyover and Rs 58.81 crore for the Savitri Cinema Flyover. The project is scheduled for completion within 30 months
