DPR ready for ₹2,000-cr inter-terminal train at IGI Airport

Air Train
The IGI Airport is set to start construction of the ₹2,000 crore world-class inter-terminal "air train" for which the feasibility report has been conducted by Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL). But, it might take a while for the airport operator to achieve financial closure for the project, which is estimated to cost around Rs 2,000 crore. The project envisages a driver-less monorail mechanism to take passengers to the terminals and connect them to other transportation systems. Many large international airport complexes around the world have such a facility that makes it easier for passengers to catch connecting flights from various terminals.
