Global logistics company Dubai Ports (DP) World along with the Dubai city government has inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the government of India for setting up the multi-modal logistics park in Jammu in the state of Jammu and Kashmir with specialized storage solutions. Apart from other facilities, the park will also house warehouses with the goal of accomplishing and encouraging intermodal transfer for the containers, bulk and break-bulk cargo, CEO of DP World, Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, said in a statement recently. He added that Indian hinterland through new infrastructure and facilities is one of the ways that the Indian economy will continue to grow in the future and the company is delighted entering into negotiations with representative of the Jammu and Kashmir government and has voiced his faith in his company‘s investment in India.
