Doubling & Electrification to Start on Sanathnagar-Moula Ali Rail Line

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the doubling and electrification of the Sanathnagar - Moula Ali rail line, marking a significant milestone in enhancing rail connectivity and efficiency.

The entire 22 Route Kms of the project, commissioned with Automatic signalling, is part of the MMTS (Multi Modal Transport Service) Phase - II project. Six new station buildings have been erected at Ferozguda, Suchitra Centre, Bhudevi Nagar, Ammuguda, Neredmet, and Moula Ali Housing Board stations.

The completion of doubling and electrification work enables the introduction of passenger trains for the first time in this section. It is expected to enhance punctuality and overall speed of trains in the region by alleviating congestion on other highly saturated sections.
