Doka Acquires Malaysian based MFE Formwork Technology
This acquisition marks a significant milestone in Doka's strategic growth plan, reinforcing its position in Southeast Asia and the Pacific region, alongside North America.
Robert Hauser, CEO of Doka GmbH, commented, “We are thrilled to welcome MFE into Doka and the global Umdasch Group. Our longstanding sales partnership is now elevated to the next level. MFE's expertise, state-of-the-art production facilities, and high-quality products are highly valued by its customers.”
Founded in 1991, MFE is a world leader in monolithic aluminium formwork solutions. This technique enables the formation of slabs and walls in a single pour, ideal for less complex and repetitive projects. With headquarters in Malaysia and over 2,200 employees, MFE is renowned for efficient construction practices and industry standards.
Doka specializes in steel formwork combined with timber and is known for solutions in large-scale projects like high-rise buildings, infrastructure, and power plants.
Hauser added, “Our combined forces create a unique one-stop-shop formwork portfolio. With solutions tailored to every project size, we can better meet our customers' needs. Additionally, offering scaffolding solutions from a single source sets us apart.”
MFE benefits from Doka's extensive global sales network spanning over 60 countries and more than 170 locations. Jim Robinson, Group Chairman of MFE Group of Companies, said, “Joining the Doka family marks a significant milestone in our 35-year history. We look forward to collaborating and leveraging our combined strengths to drive innovation and offer unparalleled solutions globally.”
