DMRC submits DPR for ₹7,000-cr Jewar Airport project

DMRC
DMRC has submitted a feasibility report to YEIDA proposing a metro line from Greater Noida's Pari Chowk to Jewar Airport at an investment of ₹7,000 crore. In the DPR, a total of 25 metro stations have been proposed. DMRC has now been directed to prepare a techno-feasibility report on the Delhi-Jewar Airport metro, which includes projections of traffic flow from Haryana, Noida and Delhi. YEIDA has directed that the Jewar airport metro line should be ready by 2023 as the Airport is also likely to open by then. The metro line will have eight stations falling in the Greater Noida Authority area, while the remaining 17 will be under the Yamuna Authority area. The distance between any two metro stations is estimated to be 1 to 1.45 km and there will be about 2.7 km of metro track in the Jewar Airport area.
