DMRC starts casting work on Janakpuri-Ashram metro line

DMRC
The Delhi Metro, in its Phase 4 project work, has commenced the casting work of u-girders which are being installed at the Janakpuri West–RK Ashram metro corridor's elevated section. At this corridor, u-girders of 28-metre length are being installed. Prior to this, such 28-metre long u-girders were installed at the Dilshad Garden–Shaheed Sthal Delhi Metro corridor and 27-metre long u-girders were installed at the Noida–Greater Noida section. The casting work of u-girders is being carried out at the designated casting yard in Mundka. Despite the unavailability of an adequate labour force due to the ongoing pandemic and the other lockdown related constraints, the casting yard was readied by the Delhi Metro within a record period of 94 working days. In totality, 56 u-girders will be produced every month at this casting yard.
