DMRC Phase-IV gets ₹500-cr funding clearance

The Delhi government has secured clearance from the Central government for ₹500 crore for the Phase IV of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, informed Deputy CM. This will ensure smooth implementation and execution of the newly cleared corridor, which is slated to be completed by 2021. The Delhi government would give its share of ₹9,707 crore for the mega project out of the total cost of construction, which is estimated to be about ₹45,000 crore. The 104 km long Delhi Metro Phase-IV will comprise six new corridors, which will provide seamless connectivity for far-flung areas of Delhi.
