DMRC Completes Tunnelling on One of Its Deepest Underground Stretches

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has completed tunnelling on one of the deepest underground sections of Phase IV, with a tunnel boring machine (TBM) breakthrough at IGNOU station on the Aerocity-Tughlaqabad corridor (Golden Line).

The newly constructed 1,460-metre-long tunnel runs at an average depth of 27 metres, with its deepest point reaching 39 metres. This marks a significant milestone in the expansion of the Delhi Metro network.
