Dilip Buildcon Wins Rs 5,000 Cr NALCO Contract for Pottangi Bauxite Mine Development in Odisha

Dilip Buildcon Limited (DBL) has emerged as the lowest bidder for National Aluminium Company Limited’s (NALCO) contract to develop and operate the Pottangi Bauxite Mines in Odisha. The 25-year mine development and operation (MDO) project is valued at Rs 5,000 crore.

The scope includes developing and operating the mine, constructing an overland conveyor corridor, road works, a water intake facility, and providing long-term mining and transportation services. The first three years will focus on EPC work for the conveyor and related infrastructure, covering 7 million tonnes and valued at Rs 1,750 crore. Over the remaining 22 years, DBL will undertake mining operations for 77 million tonnes at current charges of Rs 423 per tonne, amounting to Rs 3,250 crore.

The project marks another significant win for DBL in the mining and heavy infrastructure sector.
