Adding further to its existing projects in the road and highway sector, Dilip Buildcon, recently secured two projects entailing an investment worth Rs. 1,090 crore. In the first case it secured an EPC contract worth Rs.360.58 crore from IRCON International for 40.37 km road construction in the state of Karnataka. Similarly, it has also won a project in the road sector at an investment worth Rs.730 crore in Madhya Pradesh. With these projects in the road, highway and bridge building segments, it formed about 81% of the company‘s total order for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2018. Its order book stood at Rs.14,204 crore for the corresponding period and its road construction segment is likely to witness a significant demand hike as the government is preparing to launch several road construction projects under the Bharatmala Project in FY19.
