Under the newest housing scheme cleared by the state government, the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) offered more than 2000 new plots and green spaces. Ensuring sufficient space for the project, the nodal agency will also reclaim its old leased lands across the state capital to make the project a big draw. More than 1500 allottees on LDA's Vasantkunj Yojna who had been waiting long for possession are soon to be benefitted after the state government has given approval to restart the project as the dispute has been resolved with the farmers and the authority would soon start the construction of the housing units including constructing more than 5000 affordable houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna in the scheme, vice chairman, Prabhu N Singh said, reiterating that all the Nazul lands whose lease has expired now will not be renewed and the space will be used for the construction of housing units under the new scheme on the PPP model. It has already tied up with a private partners to develop Shaan-E-Awadh commercial project on the patterns of Delhi's Connaught Place along Shaheed Path in the heart of the state capital.
