The national capital’s land owning agency, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) plans to develop three integrated townships at Dwarka, Rohini, and Narela, and the nodal building agency is currently engaging consultants for the projects. As a matter of fact, the DDA plans to develop these projects as high density mixed-use areas which will have residential, commercial, and economic hubs. Consultants are required as the land in these areas is scattered. Optimal utilisation of the land as per the use and market conditions is very important, said an industry insider, adding that the nodal agency wants these areas to have all the facilities wherein certain areas are already developed but the agency is focusing on vacant land parcels so that these are used keeping in mind the existing development. The consultant will not only prepare the plan but also advise the agency on how to implement the project. According to DDA, the total land which will be developed in Dwarka, Rohini and Narela is- 154 hectare, 259 hectare and 218 hectare, respectively, and that DDA has already floated a Request For Proposal (RFP) for Dwarka and after reviewing the response, it will float RFP for Rohini and Narela as well, he added.
