Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India's Trichy chapter has signed a MoU with the state government to invest ₹1,700 crore in real estate projects. The construction work on infrastructure projects including residential, commercial and recreational centres is likely to commence shortly, said President, Credai, Trichy chapter, S Anand. At least 100 real estate projects from as many as 16 developers are to be taken up as demand for residential projects would surge once the state government came up with the relaxed Common Buildings Rules. The body has finalized plans to build a shopping mall at Puthur at an estimated cost of ₹40 crore as part of the MoU and is looking for sites near highways to build shopping malls.
