CRDA Approves ₹17.32 Billion for Amaravati Infrastructure Projects

The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) has cleared infrastructure development tenders worth ₹17.32 billion for Amaravati’s core capital area.
Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Ponguru Narayana stated that ₹5.14 billion has been allocated to complete Gazetted Officers’ residential towers, originally launched between 2014 and 2019. Another ₹1.94 billion will go towards external infrastructure works for nine towers designated for non-gazetted employees.
Additionally, ₹5.17 billion has been sanctioned for the construction of 12 new residential towers with essential amenities and support facilities.
To meet water needs, CRDA approved ₹5.61 billion for a 190 MLD (million litres per day) water treatment plant, including a five-year operation and maintenance contract. Separately, ₹4.95 billion has been allotted for constructing overhead water storage tanks to support the rising urban population. Road infrastructure will also see upgrades, with ₹4.55 billion approved for extending roads in the E-3, E-13, and E-15 corridors.
