Chhattisgarh clears Rs. 94-cr for road infra

The State Government in Chhattisgarh has set aside Rs 93.61 crore for the construction of nearly 417 km long roads and 34 bridges, said PWD Minister Rajesh Munat, adding that out of the total provisioned amount, Rs 5.03 crore has been provisioned for construction of 27.2 km roads and two bridges in Bastar district. Likewise, Rs 1.80 crore have been earmarked for construction of three bridges in Sukma district, Rs 4.60 crore for construction 15-km road and one bridge in Bijapur district Rs 6.92 crore for construction of 36.6 km road in South Bastar (Dantewada) district, Rs 5.96 crore for construction of 40-km long road and two bridges in North Bastar (Kanker), Rs 4.24 crore for construction of 15-km road and a bridge in Narayanpur district of Bastar division, Rs 4.24 crore for construction of 15-km road and a bridge in Kondagaon district. In addition, Rs 8.16 crore have been provisioned for construction of 42-km road and three bridges in Surguja district, Rs 14.56 crore for construction of 49-km road and five bridges in Koriya district, Rs 10.77 crore for construction of 58.5 kms long road in Surajpur, among the others projects, he added.
