Chandigarh floats tender for ₹158-cr flyover project
The Engineering Department of the Chandigarh Union Territory has issued a tender for construction of The Tribune flyover involving an investment of ₹158 crore. Shortly after laying the foundation stone of the much-awaited flyover and underpass at Tribune Chowk, UT Administrator and Governor of Punjab and Haryana, VP Singh Badnore said that the process started after cancelling the first tender on technical grounds. The administration had cancelled the first tender after all the four firms failed to meet the criteria fixed by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highway. The new tender has been floated on the same terms and conditions as the first.
