Centre steers clears ₹1,900-cr rail projects in AP

The Central government has recently steered cleared multiple infrastructure projects covering various infra segments with a combined investment worth ₹1,900 crore. In this connection the Union government sanctioned an amount of ₹1,030 crore for the rail related projects including ₹200 crore for Kotipalli and Narsapuram lines in the state. Apart from this, as many as three bridges will be constructed on the railway line between Kotipalli and Mukteswaram and that the remaining two bridges at Bodasakurru and Narasapur involving a total investment of ₹670 crore and the construction works of Kotipalli-Mukteswaram bridge are being taken up on fast tracked basis and tenders have already been floated for the construction of railway station in the Malappuram town.
